I meet with my clients as I like to ensure that I will be able to deliver you vision and this also gives us an opportunity to learn more about each other. This allows me to personalise your wedding or event rather than being someone who just turns up on the day and simply “plays music” (as perhaps the old stigma of DJs suggests). 

I meet with you again nearer to your event date to finalise the little details.  I am available at any time should you have any questions whether this is via phone, email or text. Weddings in particular have allowed me to build up good relationships with other like-minded suppliers so if you need recommendations for dancefloors, photo booths or even venue decor, I can pass on any discounts to you rather than making a profit from it.

I take my DJ business very seriously and that is why I have invested time and effort into learning and developing myself in order to take my business to the next level. This is reflected in my dedication by attending specialised DJ training courses throughout the year. This ranges from Wedding workshops in America through to microphone techniques and customer focus seminars in locations such as Birmingham, Milton Keynes and Glasgow.  I believe it is just as important to invest in yourself as it is on equipment.

I am a member of various DJ Organisations throughout the UK including Scottish DJ Alliance and the National Association of DJs.   I have presented to other DJs on a variety of topics relating to the DJ and Wedding industry.

I take pride in my DJ setup as this is one of the most important days of your life.  You have spent a lot of money on the venue and decorating so it is important that my DJ Setup should reflect this.  All of my equipment is backed up in the unlikely event should anything go wrong.  I give my clients a big role to play in choosing their songs for their party and I don’t leave anything to chance.  I have all of the relevant insurances including Public Liability, PAT Testing and of course music subscriptions to ensure I comply with all legislation.

As I am the sole operator of Southside DJ, I never take on bookings that I cannot personally fulfil.  By being a sole operator of my business I can therefore ensure that everything is up to the extremely high standards that I have set for myself.  I have backup contingencies in place should the need arise and have access to a network of like-minded Professional Wedding and event DJs.

My aim for the future is to continue to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service and care to my clients and improving my business where I can.

I offer a free, no obligation face to face meeting with all bookings.  I feel that it is important to feel comfortable with the person who will be trusted with your day.  I treat each Wedding or event with the same level of detail and respect that I would expect from my own.  During our meeting I can talk through your party in more detail and we can discuss your music likes and dislikes.  A face to face meeting will allow us to get to know each other better and helps me to gain a clear understanding of your exact vision for your big day.  The personal touch is very important to me.
