I am one of the few specialist event DJs in Glasgow that offers a unique online request system attached to my website which allows you and your guests to make advance song requests for your party. You are very welcome to include these details on your invitations for your guests to encourage them to select the songs they want to hear. On the night, I always welcome and encourage requests and with over thousands upon thousands of songs to choose from there is always something to suit everyone!
Making sure that your event is a success
This may sound obvious, but every event is different. It is more than just having the right music; it is about reading the audience and understanding what is needed, and when. The music plays a big part in this; a good DJ will know what songs work well after each other rather than randomly jumping from one era to another and then back again.
A fantastic light show
Again, every event and venue is different, and it is important that the disco lighting provides a great experience for your guests. With a large range of lights and special effects, and the experience to use them effectively, the event is enhanced. Lighting should be used to match the music, mood and tempo of the event.
The lighting and effects used are programmed to work together and are similar to those found in many prestigious venues via moving head technology. A quality lighting set up makes for an impressive experience; one to be remembered. Â If you are looking for a nightclub look to your party then I have Lasers which, combined with a haze machine, provide an effect like no other!

Getting the volume right
I have a fantastic set of very high quality speakers with built in dual amps.Â
Getting the volume right is important so that everybody has a good time, not just those on the dance floor. I understand that you are not at a nightclub, that you don’t want to be deafened but that those dancing do want to enjoy themselves. You don’t need to worry, because I am able to judge this correctly and avoid complaints! If on the evening you consider it to be too loud (or too quiet), then I’m more than happy to adjust the volume to your preference.
The music
It is important that the guests at your party hear the music they most enjoy. I always offer requests, particularly for those celebrating the occasion, as it is important that everyone feels part of the event. Â I can easily cater for any type of music so whether its a GBX set you wish, an 80s mix, some Ceilidh dances (with instructions) or just a big mix for everyone, then anything is possible.
The microphone
The majority of guests want music to dance to, and don’t generally want to listen to a running DJ commentary, so I avoid unnecessary waffle on the mic. I use a professional quality wireless radio microphone which allows me to be heard clearly. I will use the microphone for any important announcement and to encourage your guests to get on the dancefloor (although the music usually gets everyone up anyway!).
Reliable professional service
I am always smartly dressed. The DJ booth is compact, self contained and very professional.  I am 100% reliable, and have never failed to provide a professional service. Should the unexpected arise and I am unable to attend your wedding or event for reasons out-with my control (this has never happened!) then please be assured that I would find you a suitable, experienced DJ with a setup similar to my own.
Photo images/text to screen
If you would like to display photos of you in years gone by then I can provide a 6ft Projector Screen.  I also have a ‘text-to-screen’ facility which will allow your guests to text any song requests, photographs or messages direct to me which are then checked before being displayed onto screen. Any photographs that are shared will be downloaded onto a USB memory stick which will be yours to keep!
Party pack
I can supply a ‘Party Pack’ for your guests which consists of loads of props including inflatable guitars, microphones, saxaphones, glow sticks, blues brother hats and glasses, wigs and loads more to bring a real fun element to your party. Â Please ask for further details and prices.Â
My wife also runs a photobooth and an LED letter hire business so if you would be interested in either of these options then you will get a great discount when having me as your DJ. Â
